Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 July 2025 · Effective: 14 July 2025
These terms govern the relationship between Tickvane ("we", "us", "our") — operating from 14 Jalan Tun Razak, 50400 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — and any person ("you", "User") who uses our website or engages our repair services. By submitting an enquiry, dropping a watch at the counter, or confirming a service in writing or by telephone, you agree to these terms.
1. Definitions
- Service: any of the three bench services offered by Tickvane — battery and seal renewal, water resistance testing and reseal, and chronograph overhaul.
- Docket: the written service record produced by Tickvane for each completed job.
- Agreement: the acceptance of scope and cost by the owner before bench work begins.
- Workshop: the Tickvane premises at 14 Jalan Tun Razak, 50400 Kuala Lumpur.
2. Acceptance of Terms
These terms apply to all persons who engage Tickvane for watch repair services. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a service agreement. By leaving a watch at the workshop or confirming a service by any means, you confirm you have read and accept these terms.
3. Service Description
Tickvane provides three types of bench repair service, as described on the workshop website and in communications with customers. Services are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline work where we assess that the piece is outside the scope of our current capabilities or requires specialised parts we cannot source.
We operate from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services are not available on Sundays or Malaysian public holidays unless separately arranged.
4. Scope Agreement and Pricing
No bench work begins without an explicit agreement between the workshop coordinator and the owner on the scope and cost of the service. Prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). The three service prices as currently published are indicative; if the condition of a piece requires work or parts beyond the standard scope, the owner will be contacted for agreement before those are carried out.
5. Owner Responsibilities
- You are responsible for providing accurate information about the watch, including any known damage, prior repairs or relevant history.
- You must be the owner of the watch, or have authorisation from the owner, before leaving it for service.
- You are responsible for collecting the watch within 60 days of notification that it is ready. After this period, Tickvane may charge a storage fee.
- You must not submit a watch you do not own or to which you do not have the right to authorise repair.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Tickvane website, including text, images and design, is owned by or licensed to Tickvane. You may not reproduce, redistribute or adapt it without our written permission. The docket produced for your service is your property and relates to your specific watch only.
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full on collection of the watch. We accept cash and major bank transfers. If payment is not made within 14 days of collection notification, Tickvane reserves the right to retain the watch until payment is received. All prices are quoted and payable in Malaysian Ringgit.
Refund Policy
If a service is cancelled after bench work has begun, the cost of parts already fitted and labour already carried out will be invoiced. Where a service result does not match the agreed scope due to our error, we will carry out corrective work at no additional charge. We do not offer cash refunds on completed services.
8. Service Coverage Note
Chronograph overhaul services include a 12-month service coverage note. This note covers the specific work described on the docket — it does not cover accidental damage, further wear, damage from immersion beyond the rated depth, or issues unrelated to the overhaul performed. It is not an insurance product.
9. Disclaimers
We provide watch repair services based on our assessment of the piece as it presents at intake. We cannot guarantee specific timekeeping results for pieces with pre-existing wear beyond what the service addresses. Our rate charts reflect post-service performance under bench conditions; real-world variation may differ.
We are not responsible for damage that was present before the watch entered the workshop and noted on the docket. We are not liable for the pre-existing condition of a watch brought to us for service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Tickvane's liability to you in connection with any service is limited to the fee paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses, including loss of use, sentimental value or any cost beyond the service fee.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Tickvane against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these terms, including providing inaccurate information about a watch or submitting a watch without authority to do so.
12. Termination
Either party may withdraw from a service agreement before bench work has begun, without charge. Once work has started, the owner is responsible for the cost of parts and labour applied to that point. Tickvane may decline to continue a service if the piece is found to be in a condition materially different from what was described at intake.
13. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes arising from services rendered by Tickvane will first be addressed through direct discussion between the parties. If resolution is not reached within 30 days, the matter will be referred to mediation in Kuala Lumpur before any court proceedings are initiated.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: these terms, together with the agreed service docket, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tickvane for the relevant service.
- Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
- Waiver: failure to enforce any term does not constitute a waiver of that term.
- Notices: formal notices must be sent to 14 Jalan Tun Razak, 50400 Kuala Lumpur or to [email protected].
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website or the workshop's services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
